Hear from simplify 101's Aby Garvey why she and Wendy wrote The Organized & Inspired Scrapbooker:

In the spring of 2004, I received an email from Wendy Smedley. She was looking for a professional organizer to help her set up an inspiring and organized scrapbook studio / home office in her new home. Wendy found my site (loved it), saw I was a scrapbooker (loved that) and emailed me to see if I had people in Utah that could help her on her organizing mission. I have no people in Utah (or any other state for that matter) but I do have a coaching program. So we started working together creating the space of her dreams.

We created many things during our time working together. A great friendship. A collaborative partnership. An inspiring and organized space for Wendy. And the desire to share everything we learned working together with other scrapbookers, because we were quite certain that Wendy's desire for an organized and inspiring scrapbook space was not a unique need. "Let's write a book!" we thought, one that will help scrapbookers figure out what organizational and storage solutions will work for them. Let's write a book that will show them inspiring spaces of other scrapbookers - scrapbookers who have figured out what works for them and can share their wisdom with others. Let's include a workbook so it will be easy for scrapbookers to take action on the material in the book. Let's include some fun, inspiring and simple projects that scrapbookers can use to add a creative touch to their space. And so we did.

The Organized and Inspired Scrapbooker is a dream come true for me. And it is my sincere hope it will make your dream of an organized and inspired scrapbook space come true for you.

This is absolutely the BEST book for scrapbooking I have ever read. And it's not just about organizing, it's about reconnecting with why you started this hobby to begin with which in turn inspires you to get things done. The book completely motivates you to get organized NOW so that you can enjoy scrapbooking instead of spending time looking for (or buying again) the products you KNOW you have but you just can't find! They include a workbook that, if you spend the time to go through it (which only takes a few minutes) will help you determine the best way to organize your space. Their ideas range from organizing an entire room to just a few shelves in a pantry. I have read through the book several times now & continue to add to my list of ideas. It's amazing how much scrapping I can get done now! You must get this book. Even if you're already organized, you need to buy it for the adorable ideas and the beautiful pictures. It's truly the best scrapbooking book I've ever purchased!

I've wasted so much money on other organizational books it's embarrassing. No book ever explained to me that first I must determine how "I work & create" then organize based on that premise. Thank you Aby & Wendy for my newly organized & highly functional studio. By the way - this book never goes to my reference section - it stays on my desk!

I have to admit when I first skimmed this book I was not impressed ... as I am fairly well organized in my scrap room. However ... after thinking about it and actually reading it ... I found many ideas that I am really, really pleased with and plan on implementing them immediately. If on first glance you don't see the value of this book ... step away from it and then go back to it and actually take the time to re-read it ... I think that there will be at least a few ideas that will help you and you will feel that you get your money's worth ... I KNOW I DID!

This book is like candy to my eyes. I am a scrapbooker (10 years+) and absolutely love this book. The pictures of the scrap-rooms make me feel like I can work towards something like that! While I don't have a dedicated scrapbook space (dining room table), I think that I can put the tools, in this book, to good use. The photography is wonderful. The tips are awesome!!! I highly recommend this book to anyone who is a scrapbooker, who wants to be a scrapbooker, anyone who is a crafter, or anyone else... ;)

First let me tell you that I am not a scrapbooker - I wanna be, yes but as of today no. I have had all the "stuff" but it was still in boxes. I received the book 5 days ago and it inspired me SO much to get going and get organized. I have a small space but was still able to get everything in order and maybe, just maybe tomorrow, I will be a scrapbooker!! PS - The book got my creative juices flowing so much that I redid my laundry room - and you thought it was just about organizing your scrapbook area!!
